Dear Friends,
After 130 years and four generations, the time has come to say goodbye. I am writing with a full heart to announce that I retired, and Bralow’s Fresh Fish and Seafood stopped operations, on June 28, 2025.
It’s been a true honor to carry on what my great-grandfather started back in 1895. From fish carts to storefronts, from customers to lifelong friendships, the journey has been nothing short of incredible. What began as a family business grew into a beloved neighborhood staple.
This business has never just been about fish. It's been about our loyal customers, our neighbors, and our community. Whether you were picking out the perfect live carp for Passover, lining up for fresh smelts on Christmas Eve, or just swinging by for your weekly order of salmon, you brought meaning to our work. You let us be a small part of your biggest traditions, and that's something I'll never forget.
Thank you for your trust, your stories, your patience on buy Fridays, and letting us be part of your family dinners, holidays, and traditions. Though Bralow's is no longer open, the memories will always stay with me. I hope they stay with you too.
With heartfelt thanks,
Marc Bralow
